Quimetal’s headquarters and its main operation center are located in Vitoria, capital of Espírito Santo State, a privileged place from the geographical point of view.
Its location is quite strategic in terms of markets, since it’s near all the most dynamic Brazilian States, those producing most of the country’s GNP.
Espírito Santo has excellent availability of ports, a well-developed railroad network and easy access by road to the rest of the country.

All that structure allowed  a real revolution in the State logistics sector ,in the last few years.
Today, thanks to its performance in foreign trade, Espírito Santo increased its participation in the country’s GNP from a historical level of around 2% to 5%.
The State became the sixth largest importer and the seventh greater exporter in the country. About 2.700 ships are moored annually alongside its 18 ports. An evidence of the strategic importance of Espírito Santo is the presence of some of the largest companies in the country which operate through the our state ports::

  • - Aracruz Cellulose (exportation of cellulose through the Barra do Riacho Port)
  • - Petrobras (oil shipments through the Regencia port)
  • - Vale do Rio Doce (iron exportation through Tubarão Port)
  • - Cia Siderúrgica de Tubarão (steel exportation through the  Praia Mole port)
  • - Samarco (exportation of iron ore pellets through the Ubú port)
The logistic revolution doesn’t stop, for new investments are in progress to improve the capacity to move merchandise across the State, such as the South Coast Railroad (linking the  Vitoria port to Ubú port, and later to the city of Cachoeiro do Itapemirim), and the expansion of the International Airport of Vitoria, that currently receives international cargo from the United States.

Conducting your foreign trade operations with Quimetal, your company can benefit from this privileged structure.
